Make planning your next road trip easier than ever!

Easily find all the best attractions and businesses along the U.S. interstates that you must add to your road trip itinerary! The Best of the Interstate helps to make your road trip about the journey just as much as it is about the destination!

Where did the Best of the Interstate come from?

BestoftheInterstate.com and all its subsequent ‘Bestof…‘ pages (i.e. Bestofi80.com, Bestofi5.com, etc.) came from the idea that there are too many travel websites out there that don’t do a great job of telling you where something is or that help you plan for your trip’s journey, only your destination. So America’s Road Trip came up with the idea that there should be a database with lists for all United States (including those in Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico) interstate businesses that are family-friendly, well-lit destinations.

Another reason we decided to create the ‘Best of the Interstate is because of the fact that motorists miss so much of the country by traveling on the Interstate. So we figured, convenient as the Interstate is for traveling, we would create a database that would be just as convenient for planning what road-trippers should do while they travel the interstate, by telling them what’s at each exit so they can plan ahead. Voila!  The Best of the Interstate.

How do I use the Best of the Interstate?

The BestofTheInterstate.com  is super easy to use and simple to navigate –  before or during your travels! Let’s say you are heading out to Utah from Illinois on I-80:

  • Go to BestofI80.com or BestofTheInterstate.com (and choose I-80) and click the state(s) you will be passing.
  • On the state’s page, click any exit to pull down the list of the fun businesses near that exit!
  • Learn about each business and choose to stop at the exits that sound fun to you!

All of the businesses listed have “America’s Road Trip’s” stamp of approval. Meaning, that business is either a destination (fun, family-friendly, etc.) or it is a well-maintained facility (like a clean gas station).

Thanks to the Interstate Highway System, it is now possible to travel from coast to coast without seeing anything.

How is the ‘Best of the Interstate’ helpful to me as a traveler?

Be able to know what’s coming up at each exit before you miss it!

How many times has it happened where you are driving down an interstate towards your destination – without any clue what’s off each exit or what you’re passing? You might be missing a really cool attraction or a really nice cupcake shop! That’s where the Best of The Interstate comes in. Even before you get in your car or before you pass an exit, you can look on the website and see where you should get off and what you can do at each exit.

Many businesses do not advertise along the interstate, which means thousands of people daily pass by without ever knowing their awesome business exists!

What is the goal for the Best of the Interstate?

The goal is to be able to provide travelers with a way to plan their road trips so that the journey is just as exciting as the destination. Learn where you should get off – and which exits have sweet cupcake shops, coffee shops, indoor skydiving, etc..

Whether you’re on the road, or preplanning a trip, the Best of the Interstate is here to help you plan the most exciting journey yet!
